About Gall Museum Tickets

Preserving Gallic heritage since 1994

Our Mission and History

Gall Museum Tickets was established in 1994 by a consortium of Irish and European historians, archaeologists, and cultural preservationists dedicated to exploring the connections between Gallic and Irish civilizations. What began as a modest collection has grown into one of Europe's premier institutions for the study and presentation of Gallic heritage.

Our mission is threefold: to preserve authentic Gallic artifacts for future generations, to conduct rigorous academic research into Gallic-Irish connections, and to make this history accessible through engaging exhibitions and educational programs. We believe that understanding ancient cultures enriches contemporary life and provides valuable perspectives on identity, migration, trade, and cultural exchange.

The Gauls occupied much of modern France, Belgium, Switzerland, and parts of Germany from approximately 800 BCE until the Roman conquest in the 1st century BCE. Their society featured sophisticated metalworking, vibrant artistic traditions, complex social structures, and rich oral literature. Archaeological evidence reveals extensive contact with Ireland, including trade in metals, pottery, and luxury goods.

Our Collections

The museum's permanent collection includes over 3,500 objects spanning the entire period of Gallic civilization. Highlights include complete sets of warrior armor, over 800 coins representing various tribes, extensive pottery collections, and medieval Irish manuscripts referencing Gallic peoples. All artifacts have been legally acquired, thoroughly documented, and properly conserved according to international standards.

Research and Education

We maintain an active research program contributing to scholarly understanding of Gallic civilization. Our staff publishes in peer-reviewed journals, presents at international conferences, and collaborates with universities and museums worldwide. We also host an annual journal and biennial international conference bringing together specialists in Gallic and Celtic studies.

Educational programs serve over 45,000 students annually through structured school visits, workshops, and teacher professional development. Programs are aligned with national curriculum standards and designed to develop historical thinking skills and cultural awareness.
